● In the areas of energy, resources, environment and climate, the whole of humanity is confronted with unprecedented challenges. The challenges faced by China are particularly daunting, with its ongoing processes of rapid industrialization, urbanization, internationalization and road transport development.
● Tackling those challenges needs new ideas, new technologies and new forms of collaboration.
● To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Club of Rome, we created the Beijing Energy Club in December 2008.
● The Club today is a high level private forum for discussing Chinese and global energy issues.
